Choose someone you want to win with
Building a startup is an odyssey. You don't know what you'll discover, what you'll learn or where you'll end up — but your early investors are with you all the way, often more than a decade later. Choose them wisely.
Our promise is simple: early to believe, last to leave.
We have backed over 60 teams since 2011 and seen a lot. We lost plenty, won a few, and above all learned to adapt and evolve — just as our founders had to.
The coming decades will be defined by technologies that go beyond software: energy, biology, materials and physical AI. There are many important problems to solve, and we’re excited to help our founders unlock them.

Chapter 1
Rare people, found early
01
We are drawn to founders who are exceptionally intelligent and relentless — high-agency, mission-driven people who want to win big, and who do it with integrity.
People like this are rare, and our job is to find them as early as possible. Central and Eastern Europe and its global diaspora are among the best places to do that, and we show up there before the evidence does.
We usually invest at the inception stage and stay close from then on, be it in the everyday moments or at the crossroads. Several of us come from humble backgrounds and started businesses without a safety net, so we know what building from nothing takes.
We're a small team, not a platform, by design. We back a small number of companies and give each our full attention. When major challenges and pivotal moments arrive, we fight like hell to get you what you need. Adversity drives us together, not apart.

Chapter 2
Together through adversity

Chapter 3
The long game
05
The majority of the partners' assets are invested in our funds, alongside some of the most successful entrepreneurial families and financial institutions. Stewarding their capital gives us a heightened sense of responsibility: we want to win, and to win the right way — without shortcuts.
We think in decades, not quarters, and our relationships with founders, LPs, and peer investors reflect that mindset.
"KAYA is one of the most founder-friendly funds we’ve worked with. They offer support in areas where most VCs don’t. We’ve built a strong relationship, and their help is always timely, thoughtful, and genuine."
